On Saturday 1st May you have the opportunity to experience the incredible
Battle Storm Advanced Laser combat system. The gameplay experts at battle Storm will run a specificially designed
combat scenario.
Operation Battlestorm will be played on a portion of the Swynnerton
Training Area with varied terrain including woodland and urban and will involve a 90 minute multi-role
multi-mission scenario utilising a wide range of replica weapons fitted with the battle storm system.
What is Battle Storm Advanced?

Battle Storm Advanced hi-tech outdoor laser combat simulation system. It is
designed and manufactured in the UK.
Based on a military theme, replica weapons are used to fire beams of IR at
other players and this basic operation is ullised by many military and tactical firearms units for training due to
its realism and immersive feel.
What makes Battle Storm Advanced stand out?

Battle Storm Advanced is the most advanced Laser Combat Simulation system in
its class; systems have been purchased by the British Army for training purposes in both the Advanced system and
CQB system. Many of its features are extremely innovative and have been patented so they are now unique to Battle
Storm.
Replica
weapons are used to create ultimate realism, as they feel and
operate like the real thing; metal boxes are not realistic combat simulation!
Fully configurable
weapons means the characteristics (rate of fire, range, etc) can
easily be changed to support an infinite variety of modern, classic and futuristic scenarios.
The highly interactive
system ensures players are continuously updated both verbally and
visually on their performance and score, amongst other things.
Add-ons such as PGEs can be used for air strikes, bombs and other interactive props to give more depth to each
scenario.
Who can play Battle Storm
Advanced?

It is advised that the Battle Storm Advanced
system is played by teenagers upwards, due to the practicality of handling 1:1 replica weapons. Although playable
by some younger teens, the Advanced system is aimed mostly at late teens to adults for the complexity of the
scenarios that can be created, along with the operating of equipment.
There will be only 20-30 places available on each running of Operation Battlestorm, and it
will be run 4 times on Saturday 1st May. Duration 90 minutes.
Places are initially only available to VIP ticket holders. This may change
depending on the number of VIP tickets sold, and the number of VIP ticket holders who wish to take part. Check our
news section regularly for updates.

If you ever been shot in the mask were sure you have experienced the
terrible taste of paintballs, so just the thought of chewing and eating them is enough to turn most peoples
stomachs.
However every year a number of brave contestants step up to the plate and
take part in our warped paintball eating contest.
The glory in 2009 went to Davie from Team Mad Sqad who ate 25 paintballs
in round 1 and 8 more in the final.

His prizes included a new SP Ion marker and some personal attention from 3
very special guests at the big game party.

We submitted the neccessary application to the GUINNESS WORLD RECORDS people however they
declined to recognise paintball eating as a legitimate activity for a world record.
However we still wished to recognise Davies achievement and claim it as a world record
anyway so that got us thinking - lets start our OWN alternative world records!
So we are pleased to announce that Davie is the holder of the first ever WARPED WORLD
RECORD
Do you have a skill or activity which might qualify as suitable category for a world
record? would you like your strange skill recognised? send your ideas in to the WARPED WORLD RECORD committee
for consideration
if you wish to apply to take part in the 2010 WARPED WORLD PAINTBALL EATING contest give
us your details and we will get back to you with a set of rules and an entry form.

When we contacted the Guinness World Records to try to get our paintball
eating antics recognised they politely but firmly refused saying they did not think it would be appropriate or
popular - what do they know!
They did however enlighten us about a different record attempt they
thought would be of interest. The world Paintball CATCHING record has apparently been in place since 2003 so what
the hell lets give that a go!
The current record for the most paintballs
caught by hand in two minutes is 28 and was set by Anthony Kelly
(Australia) at Ultimate Skirmish paintball field, Helensburgh, New South Wales, Australia on 30 May 2003 - we think someone out there can do better!!
If you would like to apply to have a go at the record please give us your
details here
We will register your interest and forward you a set of rules so you can
get practising. Over 16 only.

The warped megarena will be in operation on friday and saturday. Challenge
your mates in the biggest megarena in the UK. An air station will be setup near the megarena and rental equipment
will be available for friends and family to have a go.

DCCT - Dismounted Close Combat
Trainer

After extensive negotiations and agreement of procedures we are proud
to be able to offer Festival attendees a UNIQUE OPPORTUNITY to experience a short session in the armys state of the
art DCCT trainer system based at Swynnerton.

This VERY expensive piece if kit links real weapons with video training
technology to create real time battle situations for active service training.

No civilians are normally allowed anywhere near this system. We owe a great
thanks to our army colleagues who have worked wonders to get us permission to use the equipment.

The DCCT will be open at the Warped Paintball Festival on Sat 1st
May.
Army personnel will brief all participants in the use of the system, and a
Range Officer will control the battle session.
Sessions are available throughout the day and take approx 30 minutes
with briefings and combat time.
